Vania Lawson

Born in Sydney in 1967 Vania is a Perth based, Australian artist with a background in design and scenic art. She has been exhibiting since graduating from Perth Technical College having had her first exhibition in 1990. After working with Architects and Interior designers for many years creating scenic artworks for commercial projects, she became increasingly drawn to landscapes with distinct light and texture, embracing the movement of weather conditions and how that plays on our psyche.
Her artworks are alluring places, beautiful emotive landscapes of her surrounds that have a luminous quality that draws the viewer into the work.
Vania’s work speaks of things that are timeless, “I feel that for most of us our oceans, skies and landscapes represents something that is comforting & enduring in our busy world.”
Vania is represented in collections around Australia, Asia & UK including Ronald McDonald House, Newmont Asia Pacific and St John of God Hospital Subiaco.  She has exhibited in and has been a finalist in several Art awards.
